Installation.

No contractor. No special tools. Four steps and the weather stays out.

  1. 01

    Measure

Measure around the jamb and header of your garage opening. Pick the 25 ft or 34 ft kit.

  2. 02

    Uncoil

Uncoil the weatherstripping and lay it along the jamb to check the fit before nailing.

  3. 03

    Nail

Secure with the color-matched finish nails every 8–12 inches along the foamed PVC base.

  4. 04

    Seal

Close the door — the flexible fin compresses to form a tight seal. Done.

What Customers Say

Real installs. Real long-term performance — straight from people who've put DuraSeal on their door.

Relaxing the product when uncoiled

What an excellent product! It shipped quickly! It was exactly as described. The directions for installation were clear and spot on. It does take time for the product to relax when it is uncoiled. I found that letting it uncoil and straightening it out on my driveway in the warm sunlight helped speed up the product taking its straight form. Overall, EXCELLENT!

Read Instructions!!

Following the instructions is key with this stuff. I purchased these to reseal four of my doors but tried when it was cold (below 60 degrees). The part broke due to being brittle from the cold temperature which after reading the instructions found that to be a no no. I thought about giving up and returning the product but the following weekend we were blessed with temps in the 70’s. Round two was a success! Having an extra set of hands doesn’t hurt but not impossible to install solo.

Where do I install DuraSeal?

DuraSeal is a Side and Top weatherstripping kit — it mounts to the wood jamb on the left, right, and top of your garage door opening. The flexible PVC fin presses against the door panel when closed to form a seal.

What colors are available?

Six: White, Black, Brown, Sandstone, Almond, and Gray. Each kit ships with color-matched finish nails so the installation blends with your trim.

How long does DuraSeal last?

10+ years. The co-extruded PVC doesn't crack, crumble, or compress the way wood seals do — it holds its shape and sealing ability year after year.

Can I install it myself?

Yes — we recommend having two people do the install. It's a step-by-step DIY project that most people complete in a few hours. The nails are color-matched and the install guide walks you through every step.

Ready to seal the gaps?

Professional-grade. Six colors. 10+ year lifespan.
